DIFFERENTIATED PROFILE. The SLS3 version, which embraces a special carbon manufacturing process, also uses DUKE’s 6TERS concept, which provides a differentiated design for the front and rear wheel to meet the different demands placed on the front and rear of the mountain bike. The rim designed for the front wheel is correspondingly wider than its rear counterpart. The focus is on grip and stiffness. The rear version, meanwhile, uses a reduced cross-section and a new carbon fibre layer to improve compliance and increase impact resistance.
WIDE CONSTRUCTION. Nevertheless, the inner rim widths of both front and rear wheels are wide, 30 and 27 mm respectively, which not only allows for a larger air volume, but also improves efficiency and comfort. With a class-leading lateral stiffness to weight ratio, the Crazy Jack SLS3 6TERS rim provides an exceptional riding experience.
OFFSET DESIGN WITHOUT A HOOK. The asymmetric profile with 3 and 2.8 mm offset at the front and rear wheel respectively increases the lateral stiffness of the rim without increasing the weight. The hookless design also benefits the lateral stiffness and improves it by as much as 40 % compared to the previous model. Compared to a standard hooked rim, the Hookless design also offers greater durability and impact resistance. The result is 50 % better absorption of impact energy on loose surfaces.

SLS3 (Super Light Série 3) | The SLS models are 10 % lighter than traditional rims while maintaining exactly the same strength and stiffness.For achieving this, the manufacturing process as well as the types of carbon fibre and resin are different. In addition, SLS3 rims are manufactured in a sealed atmosphere and require no retouching at the exit of the mold. Without sanding or varnishing, an exceptional finish is achieved.
Heavy Duty (HD) Building Concept | To achieve a high level of resistance, the Heavy Duty design combines a targeted choice of materials with an optimal rim geometry. Thanks to the interaction of high-strength carbon or aluminium with the offset construction, DUKE HD rims absorb most shocks and impacts, making them perfect for any type of terrain.

Tubeless Ready | DUKE’s Tubeless compatible rims (UST, Tubeless Ready and NoTubes) only require some DUKE rim tape and a Tubeless Ready valve. They can also be used in a classic clincher set up (tyre + inner tube).
Asymmetric Design (Offset) | By offsetting, the wheel’s lateral strength and its stability can be increased without adding weight. Rim drillings are off-centre to optimise bracing angles for a stronger, more rigid wheel. In addition, an offset improves the balance between of the spoke tension between the drive and non-drive side as well as durability over the long-term.
Antiburp System | The “Burp-Free” system holds the tyre bead securely in position regardless of tyre pressure and ground conditions. This prevents the tyre from coming off the rim even at maximum speed. As the tyre is prevented from being pushed sideways towards the centre of the rim, there is no risk of sudden air loss even when cornering.
Anti-Pinch | To prevent the tyre from cutting in during impacts, the sidewalls of the rim are reinforced.
