Description
SRAM RED 1 DUB Crank Carbon Road 1-speed Aero
Triathlon, Time Trial & Cyclocross – some disciplines are made for 1x crank.
And while SRAM’s X-Range™ 2x set-up has integrated much of the simplicity of a 1x system, there are still times when a single ring is best way. The SRAM RED® 1 crankset offers the most demanding racers the right mix of features—aerodynamics, durability, and simplicity.
The SRAM RED carbon crankset features a completely hollow crankarm construction called Exogram. It is paired with a particularly aerodynamic direct mount chainring with disc design and X-Sync for perfect chain retention. Like the current SRAM MTB cranks, the SRAM RED crank is also equipped with the universal DUB (Durable Unified Bottom Bracket) crank spindle which can be universally used in all common bottom bracket shells, also increases rigidity. The bearing play will be fine tuned with an adjuster ring.
Features:
- 1-speed chainring setup simplifies functionality and reduces weight
- 48 and 50t variants feature direct mount aero chainrings for better aerodynamics
- DUB™ bottom bracket adds durability, simplicity and broad compatibility
- Powermeter upgradeable direct mount design
Technologies
Exogram
The new Hollow Carbon Construction starts in the crank arm and extends into the cranks’ spider. It maximizes the stiffness to weight ratio.
DUB™
DUB™ technology features a better-engineered bottom bracket and a new spindle design. Together, these allow for a more uniform approach to bottom bracket fitment, better sealing against contamination and forward and backward compatibility. Now everyone can benefit from a new measure of durability.
