DUKE Crazy Star 6TERS Front Rim 29″
The aluminium reference in Trail / All-Mountain rims
A front wheel has to offer grip, a low weight and a precisely handling. For these reasons the Duke Crazy Star 6TERS front rim with 29.5mm inner width has seen a lot of optimization and reinforcements.
The DUKE Crazy Star 6Ters front rim is 3mm wider and 1.5mm higher compared to the rear version. It have an asymmetrical profile (2.5mm offset), which makes it possible to maintain the lateral stiffness and durability of the wheel without gaining weight.
From bead to bead it offers a width of 29.5mm. This gives more volume to the tyre for improved comfort, tire support and cornering grip. A wide rim also means you can use finer and lighter tyres.
- made of strong Dynamal alloy
- Tubeless Ready
- asymmetric (Offset) Profile
- hookless rim
- Offset: 2.5mm
Technologies & Features
This type of rim is far stronger than the traditional clincher rim. Duke has used this technology with great success, on their rims since 2011
The bead of the tyre is held in position irrespective of the tyre pressure and the ground conditions, preventing any risk of the tyre coming off its rim even when giving it full gas in the corners.
By offsetting, DUKE was able to increase the potential lateral wheel strength and its stability without adding weight. Rim drillings are off-center to improve bracing angles for a stronger, more rigid wheel.
The Duke 6TERS concept offers a wider front rim than the rear rim for more grip at the front and rear stiffness. Low weight and high comfort are preferred at the front instead of strength.
Wide inner rim
A wider profile rim increases the comfort, for the rider, compared to a similar width tyre mounted on a narrow “standard” rim because of the increased air volume in the tyre.
The Tubeless compatible rims by Duke (UST, Tubeless Ready and Notubes), only require some Duke rim tape and a Tubeless-ready valve. They can also be used in a classic clincher set up (tyre & inner tube).
